Playbook

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid ad engine alongside it. This is the same playbook pointed at cosmetics: many creators, short briefs, one variable per test, losers killed early. I have not run this category before, so the claims sheet and category rules lean on your wording and your team.

Why now

  • 21950

    Reviews already on the site

The site displays 21950 reviews. A base of buyers who write is a ready pool for the first creator invitations.

    Published
  • 4.7 / 5

    A rating viewers can check

The site displays Rated 4.7 / 5. A creator showing real wear stands next to a rating the audience can look up.

    Published
  • $35

A shipping line to end every video

Free shipping over $35 and a free full-sized gift on orders over $50 give each creator one concrete closing line.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views against a $1 target. The simulator starts at $5.74, so every brief exists to close that gap.

  2. One variable per test

Each video changes the hook or the shot, never both. With 303 videos a month at 10 creators, the hook library fills fast and losers are killed early.

  3. Claims come from your pages

Creators quote only lines on the claims sheet, copied from the site. Anything else goes to the lead in the channel before posting.

  4. One channel for the work

Briefs, drafts, claim questions and wins live in one team workspace. The Monday report posts there, so you never have to ask.

Part 4 of 15, continued

One channel for everything

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. NoraMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: lip stain wear test. Bare lips first, drink something on camera, then show the end of the day. 7 videos each, one variable per video: change the hook only.

  2. JessMon 11:10 AM

Can I say the lip stain lasts all day without touch-ups?

Use the sheet line: Colour won't transfer, fade or feather - and is waterproof too. Nothing about changing the skin or lips themselves.

  3. Report botAppMon 7:00 AM

Weekly report posted: videos delivered per creator, views per video, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, hooks that won and hooks that lost.

  4. NoraWed 2:15 PM

Draft sent back, Tay: the hook says the liner never smudges for days. Use the sheet wording: 1440 minutes of budge-proof, smudge-proof staying power. Reshoot the hook only.

  5. JessFri 9:40 AM

My breakfast-to-dinner lip stain video just passed 100,000 views, all organic.

Logged. The $50 flat bonus applies once this month. Can we test it as an ad with your written yes?

  6. Check botAppThu 4:05 PM

Pre-post check: caption has a shipping line. Sheet says Free Shipping on all orders over $35 in USA only. Draft held until the caption matches.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Breakfast to dinner wear test

    Brief 01

    Breakfast to dinner wear test

“I stained my lips at breakfast. Check them at dinner.”

Bare lips in daylight, apply once, film again at lunch and at dinner. Same framing, no touch-ups.

  2. 1440 minutes liner test

    Brief 02

    1440 minutes liner test

“There are 1440 minutes in a day. Let's test one liner.”

Close-up of one wing drawn in one take, then a check at midday and one in the evening. Name the shade on screen.

  3. Shade finder

    Brief 03

    Shade finder

“Warm, cool or olive? How I picked my foundation shade.”

Three shade swatches along the jaw in daylight, then the chosen one blended. Say the undertone out loud.

  4. Liner then stain

    Brief 04

    Liner then stain

“Liner first, then the stain. Watch what the order does.”

Draw the lip line with the liner, fill with stain, show the edge up close. One continuous take.

  5. Gloss over stain

    Brief 05

    Gloss over stain

“One clear gloss over my stain. Same colour, new finish.”

Bare stain first, gloss second, turn toward window light for the finish. Hold the tube to camera once.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free. Responsibly formulated with safe ingredients.”, “Colour won't transfer, fade or feather - and is waterproof too. Washes off with your regular cleanser.”, “Less than 2 minutes to apply. 1440 minutes of budge-proof, smudge-proof staying power.”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Reviewers who already film

The site displays 21950 reviews. Reviewers who post their own wear videos are a first pool to invite, with the lead's approval.

  • Wear-test searches

Search short video for lip stain, brow and eyeliner wear tests. Shortlist by how long people watch, not by follower count.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

No affiliate or ambassador page was found on the site, so there is no existing program to inherit. The roster starts from zero.

  • Skinsider members

Skinsider Membership is priced at $15.00. Members are repeat users, worth an invitation once the claims sheet is signed off.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Wears it on camera

Applies lip, liner or brow product in one take with bare skin visible.

  2. 2Hook sample

Sends three hook ideas of their own before any pay is agreed.

  3. 3Audience fit

Comments ask product and shade questions, not only compliments.

  4. 4Claims discipline

Passes a short quiz on the claims sheet and the category rules.

  5. 5Pace

Can deliver 7 videos a week through the ramp, not one big video.

Part 7 of 15

Who

  • Lip stain loyalist

Already wears stains daily and films the fade test without being asked.

Likely product: WONDER BLADING All-Day Lip Stain

  • Liner minimalist

One wing, one take. Shows the shade name and the midday check.

    Likely product: 1440 Longwear Eyeliner

  • Brow-first routine

Starts every get-ready video with brows and shows the close-up.

Likely product: Wonder Blading Brow Stain & Go Masque

  • Shade hunter

Compares undertones in daylight and explains why a shade fits.

Likely product: Hyper Bond All-Day Stay Serum Foundation

  • Gloss layerer

Stacks finishes over stain and shows the change in window light.

Likely product: WONDER BLADING Top Gloss

  • Set builder

Compares what is inside a set against buying singles, with prices on screen.

    Likely product: The Bestsellers Set

Left off, every time

Always left out: creators who make skin or health claims about lips, brows or skin; creators who compare Wonderskin with named brands; anyone who retouches swatches or wear footage; and anyone unwilling to follow the claims sheet.

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free. Responsibly formulated with safe ingredients.”

Lip stain videos, said as the brand's own wording

  • “Colour won't transfer, fade or feather - and is waterproof too. Washes off with your regular cleanser.”

Wear tests and fade checks on the lip stain

  • “Less than 2 minutes to apply. 1440 minutes of budge-proof, smudge-proof staying power.”

Eyeliner videos, especially the 1440 minutes format

  • “95% natural formula - Vegan, paraben-free, gluten-free, alcohol-free and cruelty-free.”

Brow Stain & Go Masque videos only

  • “Made to flex. Formulated to last.”

    Foundation shade and wear videos

  • “Free shipping & hassle free color exchanges/returns. Always.”

Closing line, after the lead confirms the shipping wording

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Heals chapped lips

A health outcome. The site only describes soft, hydrated feel.

  • Works better than other brands' stains

A comparison with named or implied competitors that the site does not support.

  • Dermatologist approved

No such endorsement appears on the pages read.

  • Safe for every skin type

Broader than the site's own wording about safe ingredients.

  • Lasts through anything, for days

Goes past the site's stated wear time and the waterproof line.

  • Plumps lips permanently

A change to the body and a permanence the site never states.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Free shipping, always

The site also shows a threshold over $35 in USA only. The lead confirms which line creators use.

  • Lips stay soft all day, as our alcohol-free formula hydrates where others dry.

Contains a comparison with other products. The lead decides if creators may say it.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

Starter: for creators proving they can hold the weekly pace and follow the claims sheet.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

Standard: for creators whose lip and eye videos keep earning steady organic views.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

Premium: for the few whose wear tests repeatedly beat the cost per 1,000 views target.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, however many videos pass 100,000 views.
  • The bonus is per video: a video that passes 100,000 views earns $50 flat.
  • Only organic views count. Views from ads do not move the bonus.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, even if it took off.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

Read it as a stress test. On Assumption-level inputs the cost is $5.74 per 1,000 views against the $1 target. To hit it, 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Organic to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Post organically

Every video goes out organic first. Only organic views count toward the $50 bonus.

  2. Pick the winners

Videos near 100,000 views or beating the $1 target go on a shortlist.

  3. Ask permission

With the creator's written yes, the video is tested as an ad, one variable per test.

  4. Kill or scale

Losers are killed early. Winners get more budget and the creator hears the result.

From the video to the checkout

  • Send viewers to the product page of the product shown, such as the WONDER BLADING All-Day Lip Stain at $22.00.
  • Use the shipping line that matches the site: free shipping over $35, USA only, and a free full-sized gift over $50.
  • For set videos, point to The Bestsellers Set at $50.00 and show what is inside against the singles.
  • Mention Subscribe & Save 20% only when the product page shows it.
  • No store-shelf claims: no retailer was found in the pages read, so nothing is promised about stores.

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Cosmetics rules every creator follows

Wonderskin sells lip, eye, brow and complexion colour. Creators talk about colour, wear, finish and feel, and nothing beyond the claims sheet.

  • Cosmetic claims only

Talk about colour, wear, finish and feel. Never describe a change to skin, lips or brows as a body, and never promise a health outcome.

  • Use the sheet wording

When a creator states a claim, it is a line from the claims sheet, copied from the site. Questions go to the lead in the channel before the video posts.

  • Show real wear

No filters or retouching on swatches or wear footage. Film in daylight and name the shade, such as a WONDER BLADING All-Day Lip Stain shade, on screen.

  • Disclose every post

Every post carries the platform's paid-partnership label and a plain spoken or written disclosure in the first lines.

  • No named-brand comparisons

Never compare Wonderskin with another brand by name or by hint. Compare only shades, finishes or sets inside the Wonderskin range.

  • Prices and shipping match the site

State prices and offers exactly as the site shows them: free shipping over $35, USA only, and Subscribe & Save 20% only where it appears.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
